Heck, at this rate, we'll have to wait until December for the weather to cool off a bit.

Do you have the 1/2 or 1" recoil pad on your Ace stock? I have the 1/2" on mine, and I'm thinking about trying the 1". What kind of groups did you get with the ammo you had?

Nice rig. Did you install the POF roller cam pin and bolt carrier key on that DPMS TiN bolt carrier? Now some groups are needed...

Nice looking rig. What's your impression of the carbon fiber forearm?
Now go out and get in some serious trigger time, that's the fun part.

i have the .5 inch pad. the only groups that i have shot were at my 25yd range. they were one jagged hole but that doesnt mean much to me. its too damn hot for trigger time.

I put one of those POF roller cams on a retro project slickside bolt carrier I have in the works. The Milspec attachment method calls for something like 60-80 inch pounds of torque on the machine screws, along with a sealing compound to form an aviation grade high-temp gasket between the key and the bolt carrier body. I degrease the surfaces with cleaner and acetone, check the fit and alignment with the gas tube, then apply JB Weld lightly to the threads and the contact surfaces between the key and the carrier. I'm wondering how it will last with the Chrome or TiN parts, since they don't have good surface adhesion. A lot of civilian companies use Red Loctite to form the seal, but I think the Milspec compound is more like black Loctite. I did my Grendel's BCG that way, and I recently did a bolt carrier in Grey Cerakote, where I ground the cerakote off the gas key area before mating the key to it. I guess we'll keep each other posted on how they hold up...
