My Grendel and Her First Kill

Built this rifle about 2 years ago. First deer kill with it last Nov. Different scope than the one pictured. It was a 150yrd shot. The deer was shot at the dark spot (pictured) on the ground and didn't go far. The lungs and heart were shredded. The Hornady 123gr splintered and did a tremendous amount of damage.

Bottom line; the Grendel is an exceptional hunting round in my humble opinion.

Good post and good pics. This is what I though the old 123 A-max's would do. I don't know why people say they aren't good hunting bullets. They have always been fantastic for me.

No it did not. I believe it hit a ribcage and splintered. The heart and lungs were shredded. It was devastating.
