I would also have a QUALIFIED gunsmith measure the throat. Might be a bit short causing the chamber pressure to spike. A bit longer throat will bring the chamber pressure down and won't hurt anything & your gun will run better. The photos of the fired cases show classic signs of over pressure.

No sir. Not yet. Super busy last week. Roofing season in full swing. New buffer in today was going to wait till weekend to shoot and then report back. ohhhhhh holy what the heck ever i an over this gun . I'd sell it for scrap now if they was open have bought hundred dollar buffer from heavy buffer. 5,8 oz it weights shot worse then went to people that built it they sold me h two buffet . defender ring and spring .shot four shots and called er good . no go boys no go . tried myself just now . forty dollars or more in Ammo .learned something. only way to get it to shoot mite then three rounds took my brotherrl lower put with my upper magic! !! twenty runs. no trouble! has a yhm rifle stick l stock but hear this. ...his upper. ..my lower no problems! c! his complete no trouble either.

Okay i am going to have to take everything i said about the supplier JSE Surplus where i bought my gun back! Haven't shot it since i was there today but at least Nick, the guy that runs the retail side worked on it quite a bit with a file here and there and we are going to try a pmag....it fits and hande cyling worked perfectly....he uses a pmag unmoded for his 50 beo....i had visited the store monday this week and he was gone, so the owner and aother guy messed with it also....she got it to run 4 rounds down range and called it fixed....sold me an h2 buffer defender d ring and a stiffer spring for the stoick.....i took it out that night and it still sucked...but at least theyu are working with me! Nick was all about figuring the issue out so any bad review i gave them i shoud take back for now since they are trying to resolve my issue....will let yall know what happens next time i get er out!

Ok, I didn't read this whole thread, but who's barrel do you have? What chamber is it? Do you know the length of the throat? You may need to seat your bullets deeper in the cases. I know my CSS has a short throat, and factory wolf jams into the lands in the area of .060". That causes primers to blow on me. Seating them deeper in the case fixes the problem and it runs like a champ. Anyway, something to look at in terms of blown primers.

As for the cycling, I don't know. Check the Ejector. Does it have adequate spring tension?

Shot yesterday. Had a d ring put on. Filed a little in the grove of the carrier where it runs over the pin for buffer spring. Used an unmodified pmag. Ran nine rounds perfect. Then a stovepipe. All in all. Shot 26 rounds. Three stovepipe. Noticed some brass landed just next to me abs didn't even make it the bench. The rest shot out there good. Took gun apart inside bolt behind ejector found a whole bunch of brass flakes. ???

Brandon Check out this article http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthre...er=1943980 it gives instruction on how to clean-up your bolt so you get less shaving. I did it to mine and I get a lot less shavings and fewer dings on the brass. Pay attention to the underside of the extractor that grab the case rim it is the sharp corners that dig into the brass and don't release in time causing stovepipes.

That is a great reference, and typical of CMP rifles. I like to use some of those techniques, and will consider more of them, like his bolt lug lapping technique and chamber polishing.

I have some other ideas for the upper that I want to combine in the future, addressing some of the problems with the charge handle, ejection effects on brass for reloaders, rigidity, handguard interface, etc.

You really need to consider the offer by Satern and Alexander. The rifle has a big problem somewhere and most likely it is the chamber and gas system. Filing things isn't going to fix the problem. You should not be getting such malfunctions but part of that is you using a magazine not intended for a Grendel?
