Finally got settled after far too long of not reloading and shooting after the move.

Switched to a magnetospeed v3 + mk machining pic mount and man what a treat it is to not have to setup a chrono during a cease fire.

Anyways.. started at 29.7 up to 30.6 in .3 increments, this is the load I'll be tuning.

30.3gr LVR
2.285 COAL
130gr Berger AR Hybrid OTM
CCI 41 primers
Lapua 3x fired and 1x annealed brass
Slight taper crimp from lee die to keep things solid as I run a gas gun

Outside temp was 103 F so I'm not worried about change of season so much. 30.6 showed no signs but was audibly different i thought so stopped.

Next run (this weekend) I'll run at 300 to see grouping. 2.285 was .75moa @100

That is the most accurate bullet I have run in both my Grendel but running CFE which is very close to LVR. Matter of fact running 30.6 in mine though 30.3 was very close to it in accuracy. Did my testing on a day when it was 101 IIRC.

On a bit cooler day did not check speed but at 40degrees those loads were still under half MOA so called it good.

Gotta love those spreads. I can’t believe anyone shooting the Grendel long range doesn’t shoot Lever! I haven’t found any Grendel powder that comes close to it.

Do you remember which projectile? I’m using it more and more in the Grendel and 223/5.56 and I’ll have to go look it up. Too many to remember off hand.

Have had a keg of Lever laying around for a couple of years now and finally got around to trying some. Wow. Can’t believe the ES/SD numbers I’m seeing with it, especially being a spherical powder. Maybe Im late to the party and shouldn’t be surprised.

I can’t find the target with the data but, I don’t think I finished it. I remember shooting some groups with the higher charge weights but don’t think I followed up with a seating depth test. I’ll keep digging around for the target, it should turn up sooner or later.

That also is my most accurate heavy Grendel bullet. (130gr Berger AR Hybrid).
I have not used LeverRev under them but I have a lb. Like you were, I'm now in the middle of a move. Everything is boxed up and won't be out until I find a new house. I did jot down your numbers though!!!!!

Did not go shooting over the weekend due to crippling pain.

Maybe this weekend. At least 8# of lvr arrived so I'm not down to last lb anymore

Revisiting this tomorrow actually as i got a box of 500 in. Switching it up and using a 28" krieger. Have 5 rounds each with 30-31.2 loaded in .3 increments (25 total)

I've pushed coal to ~2.315 however as I'm developing for a match, and it's single feed so might as well ignore mag length.

Fun stuff. I thought maybe I'd see or feel something but nada. Just groups and chrono, nothing out of the ordinary today.

Looks like somewhere 30.9 and 31.2 will be where I'll be fine tuning the charge because SD is acceptable and there seems to be a trend in that area

Flier is the one to the right, def pulled that one. Other stray holes to the left is where I was sighting in a .223 and can be ignored.

Re-running 30.9 tomorrow and extending distances to 550 yards to see if groups hold up. Will have at least 20 over the chrono to get a better idea of sd/es.

Correct 28" 1:8 twist krieger varmatch profile, ar15 platform.

Zero pressure signs even at max charge. At 31.2 there is definate compression as they grew .004 when seating. I had to adjust my die finally.

Edit. 50 more loaded, had 6 "outliers". 4 seated long by about .003 and 2 that went short .005. I can only attribute this to bullet consistency... I think I'm my 500 batch, there are 3 sizes
