Guys, while I am working on the ULTRABOLT project, I decided to offer what I have for sale.
This HYBRID bolt is my improved ULTRABOLT body, but has a standard Grendel extractor because the new and improved ULTRABOLT extractors are not done in manufacturing yet.
I've sat on these ULTRABOLT bodies, waiting for the new extractors, because in my testing I experienced binding upon extraction with a standard extractor and the new ULTRABOLT body. But it seems that I was in the minority among my testers. Most have had no problems with this hybrid setup.
Sometimes the perfect is the enemy of the best.
So, I've decided to offer these HYBRID bolts at a special sale price of $55 each. Once the new extractors are complete, the price will go up because they cost more to produce.
At the worst, any binding will resolve as the parts wear in, and, at any rate, the new extractors will be available separately once manufactured.

What will be the cost of the new extractors when they arrive?

ULTRABOLT extractors will probably be $19.95.
Don't have a revised completion date. They've been in manufacturing for a few of the "6 to 8 weeks" so it can't be too long, but I'll check on Monday.

Ordered two of the new Monster Ultrabolts. Will order the extractors when they're available...

The old extractors are the ones that probably work better with 7.62x39 recovered brass anyway though, right? If so, this sounds pretty darned good to me

There's no reason the old extractors would work better with any particular brass.

I misunderstood? I thought it was mentioned the new extractor design would be less reliable with converted 7.62x39 brass, than current standard grendel extractor.

Just ordered my 4th, thanks for turning these lose.
As to different cases my other bolts have been fine with 3 different types plus converted 762x39 and 4 different brands of barrels, SixFiveArms, Faxon, ARP, and Alexander so I'm as happy as a pig in a wallar!

4th just installed in my 65A 20" 6MM ARC, manual check went in smooth as silk. If you have any left at the end of month gonna have to get a couple of spares. Thanks

Just got my two bolts yesterday. I have to say, these extractors look pretty stout to me. They have raised/proud sections on them (like your old original ones I assume), as opposed to the two recessed grooves along the extractor's "pseudo-lug", as is common to most extractors in this family---two examples being the extractors on a Ballistic Advantage Grendel bolt and an Aero Precision Grendel bolt that I have.
I'm very curious to find out, eventually, how your new extractors will be an improvement on these ones.

Ordered 2 bolts today! And trying out one of the gas blocks. Going to slowly move away from adjustables. At least in my Grendels. Just find I never really need to adjust when everything else is in sync

It's been 9 days since BFT mailed my two bolts. For the last 4 days, tracking says delivery is delayed! N0 $*1T!  It now says my package is in Memphis! In Memphis... Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot! It's going the wrong direction! :eek: I live in the west (NM). 1st class mail should take 4 days from Minnesota. 5 days tops... maybe 6 depending on the weather. Am I expecting too much from the PO? Oh well... :rolleyes

Sorry to hear. Mine came in a timely fashion and looks good. Haven't run it, as got it as a spare.

Ditto. My order was processed on the fifth and currently somewhere around Memphis?
I had ordered a barrel and gas block a couple of days before and it was delivered on time, but this order not so much.

The mail's a little unpredictable these days, it seems. Mine was scheduled to arrive last Saturday "by 9pm". Didn't actually arrive until Monday. So, just a couple of days late in my situation.

Mine says it was suppose to arrive the 11th but has said since yesterday in the current location area "---". Hoping it shows up but appears to have disappeared from this plane of existence.

My bolts are in hand... finally!  It took a week for my package to get from St. Paul to Memphis but only 3 days to get to Albuquerque from Memphis. The USPS is weird! :confused:
BTW... The package has what looks like grease & tire tracks on it. The bolts look fine though... no damage.
