I'm incompetent compared to y'all, but I know nothing 'bout the Creedmoor. As far as the .458 though, from what I understand it is a relatively short range (200 yds. or less) cartridge.

I zero my Socom at 130 yards with the Barnes 300 grain TTSX which keeps the bullet +/- 2” of P.O.A. out to 150 yards. At 230 yards the drop is 17".

Heres a three shot group off the bipod @ 230 yards from when I was working up my dope. I made up a dope sheet of the stadia lines on my scope and attached it to my rangefinder.

I have decided to scrap the ar platform and build a 6.5 Remington ultra mag I will be using a savage action with a 32" broughton barrel 1:8 twist with a break (not sure which one yet) and a choate sniper stock mounted on her will be a vortex viper pst 6-24x50 with Burris tactical rings on 20 moa rail. Let me know what u think

That will be a screamer, but boy, will that barrel live a short life! 7mm RUM's get less than 1000 rounds out of a barrel, so I'm guessing you will be i the 750-800 range, but that's just a guess!

Sounds like a cool rifle! Pushing a 140 grain bullet at 3500+ FPS is cool!

Yeah i will be shooting the 130gr Berger vld at 750 to 1000 it will a fun gun i have a friend with .257 rum and he loves it he smoked a lope at 883 last year in Wyoming.

WOW....from what I've read and heard the .257 RUM accurate barrel life is less than 500 rounds! OUCH!!

BUT....for specialized low volume use, I bet they both are wicked good!

Yeah I'm not sure that he will even make it 500 rounds I'm not sure what pill he is using but he's is pushing the 4100fps mark

Mine is. I took a 7 RUM in a trade and my first 5 shot group was sub moa with the factory Scirroco load. I dialed the scope and fired two more to confirm zero, and it's only been fired at meat ever since. It has definitive effect on target.LOL. I'd like to shoot it more, but I can't afford buying barrels (and ridiculously expensive ammo) for the heck of it, so it's reserved for things I want definitively dead.
