As a side note I found AR comp to be very dirty compared to 8208. With 8208 aprox 5-6 solvent patches and barrel was clean. It took about 20 patches with AR comp.

Next trip going to load shorter coal, closer to factory amax length see if anything changes. Also going to try some ballistic tips.

Nice data, I tested that same XBR load of 28 grains in my 18" BHW barrel and was about 25-30 fps slower. I was loading them much shorter though at 2.250 . Accuracy was about the same as your reporting.

Whats the max COAL in the Grendel mags? Also what kind of SD and ES did you see with those two powders?

ASC mags 2.3 max coal.
Amax SD 12, ES 32
SST SD12 ES 24
Both the above averages are skewed a bit by one group that had es of 50
excluding that group SD was around 9.5 and ES 19

This was with a medium crimp from Lee factory crimp die. I have found that doing so reduces es presumably by providing more even neck tension and bullet release. Overall I have been satisfied with 8208. It burns clean, produces good velocity and is supposed to be temp stable. For hunting the accuracy with the SST has been aceptable. A little disappointed with the Amax. Will try a shorter coal. Might try some nosler cc or smk for target round.
