Bob, my current bolts I call Mk136 Mod0. This is what the rest of the industry calls Type 2 bolts. (Nothing wrong with that, I just think we could make it more clear that we're talking about a 0.136 boltface depth as opposed to the 0.125 boltface depth typically used for 7.62x39 AR15s — thus my Mk136 designation.)

This new bolt has a slightly thicker rim upon which the lugs sit — compared to other 6.5 Grendel / 6mmARC / .50 Beowulf bolts — so will be called Mk136 Mod1.

Anyway, theoretically, with slightly more metal under the lugs, they should last longer. I should note this is NOT an excuse to hotrod the hell outta your handloads.

it was a joke but i could use one to try to push my 2930fps 123g grendel load to just 3k fps for a few shots im getting 2930 out of my 28 just under max published load data so wouldnt have to hotrod it to much to hit 3k
