I heard and do believe the frustrations some bca owners have had. Being a tight wad and a glutton for punishment I bought a greatly reduced x39 16 inch barrel. I hand lapped the barrel and gave the slick treatment and started shooting. It really did not look good with 3 inch groups but I kept shooting. After about 60 rounds it came around and started keeping groups in 1 1/4 inch at 100 yards. I felt it was worthy of more lead down the tube but got interested in another project and never got back to it. I would buy a upper from them if I had the need of what they were offering. At my age any thing that goes bang for me excites me!

I have had friends who have good experiences with BCA uppers, in 6.5Grendle, but they had rough chambers issues, with the SS or carbon steel barrels, I have purchased a few BCA right side charger uppers in .223whylde and 1 in 6.5GRR, I have not tested 3 of these uppers yet! I did notice my 6.5GRR 18'' HB SS has a blemish in the chamber it has a rough polishing or a not clean surface finish in a small part of the chamber, and I and I'm concerned about it! I can clean it up myself if need be, 1 of my 5.56nato 16'' uppers I have shot is very accurate and has no noticeable chamber blemishes at all, and runs flawless so I hope my other uppers do as well? But on the other side I can always replace the barrel if need be JMO!

My Grendel BCA upper shot well from the start and functioned perfectly. I recently bought a 350 Legend upper from them and function was far from what it did when I got it. I worked the feed ramps, altered the magazines and polished the chamber and now it functions perfectly with my reloads and roughly with factory ammo. Said factory ammo the Winchester 145 gr. FMJ being the worst factory ammo I have ever bought.
