PrecisionFirearms Wrote:Stress Relieving is done before fluting by most I know in the industry. According to Lilja, Bartlein, and Kreiger, fluting is the last step in the process of making a barrel. Done with coolant and sharp tooling, the temp of the barrel does not exceed ambient temps. We have found no difference in accuracy with or without fluting. OK, there you go! LR1955 |
