...but the dimension "G1" = 6.65 mm which converts to 0.2618 inches. This is awfully close to the 0.2617" at the same location of the SAAMI chamber. Both are smaller than the bullet diameter. This suggests that a taper between the start of teh freebore to this location exists.
I am still trying to find a call out for the diameter of the throat just in front of the neck. I can find the diameter, Z1 which is the groove or bullet diameter. I speculate that the dimension is implied to be the start of the free bore.
