Not wanting to get it muddy or dirty?...Like buying an expensive 4 wheel drive and not wanting to take it off-road. I love my guns too but have to keep reminding myself, they're just a tool.
Billet is stronger than forged and implies better machining. Up to your budget but Mega has an excellent reputation. JD offers a billet version, slightly cheaper than Mega but JD does not have the ambi bolt-catch release, or the nylon tipped tensioning screw.
