I admit that a 260 might be better, but one I want a Grendel, and two on the Contender/G2 frame you could not do a 260 because of head thrust and pressure issues. And if I had an Encore I would just build another 6.5-284. I like the Grendel just fine and for a pistol I think the 260 would not have any advantage over the Grendel.
