I knew and worked with many WW2 vets in my life and most of them are gone now. Like the lives they lived, they were very modest and humble who didn't brag or boast about their experience in WW2. They were a different breed who valued life and lived it with all the grace and dignity that made me proud to be part of a nation that created them. They will be sorely missed.
