LA is a pretty conservative state. You don't have one metropolitan area that decides every election for the whole state and the one you do have isn't leftist.
You can convince a liberal. You won't convince a leftist. The ones in Seattle have authored gun bans that have been defeated only because liberals were appalled at the draconian measures and gross violations of rights that were in these measures.
Paul wrote up some arguments. The anti-gunners in Seattle would scoff at them. Even after they have been victims of crimes, you will never see them concede a pro gun argument of any kind. They want all guns banned from target guns to military firearms. Black powder guns, cap guns, toy guns, etc.
No fears. They will migrate your way soon enough.
