The non-hive areas can petition for secession all they want (as several counties in Colorado are) but the tyrannical majorities will not abide the escape of their cash cows. And as long as they get to pad their majorities (if, indeed such majorities exist) with vote fraud, there's no way in hell it will ever turn around.
Even when the system sort of worked, the right had to overcome an inherent 4-10% bias due to fraud/media bias. Now that the left has been given free reign, there'll be no stopping them.
I wish I could say I disagreed, but I'm becoming too cynical. I saw a statistic the other day that said that we now have 17 States that have non working majorities. I haven't seen that confirmed, and haven't had the time to run it down, but if its true, its a huge shift and probably has pushed us past recovery.
