Since 1960, when the Mayor Daley city hall basement ballot recount reversed Nixon's narrow win over JFK, it should have been clear to every USA citizen that Stalin was right—"What matters is who counts the votes."

Among media/big money manipulation of "two party" shadow play, proprietary electronic voting software, and the sheer gullibility of voters, there will be no redress at the ballot box.

I know this doesn't happen all that often, but I agree completely.

Barring blips, I suspect that we will continue to lose ground. Where the counters are reasonably honest, the outcome is still open. Anyplace where the left is entrenched, it's over. THEY will count the votes, and wherever THEY do, THEY win, whether in the first ballot or the twentieth, or after they find ten thousand ballots in a car trunk somewhere.
