For any nation to succeed (by objective measures of decency), a virtuous citizenry is necessary.

I don't see that in our nation.

I expect that some decent people will survive the cataclysms and chastisements ahead, but already this nation would be unrecognizable to the Founders. For that matter, this nation is unrecognizable to me—except as a George Orwell novel.
