I've had a Horus scope fall apart on me - literally. An internal lens in front of the reticle literally fell out of position and was rattling inside the scope. Luckily this happened at the range, not during the hunting trip I was going on. I wouldn't touch one of their older models again. Since it was outside of their 1 year warranty, they provided a $200 credit towards another scope - yeah.
Their new HDMR scope is pretty impressive and is now made by Bushnell with (I believe) a real US warranty and repair service. The old ones were made by Hakko in Japan. I really like their reticles and hope they get a good manufacturing partner that can produce a quality product and support it.
I'll probably take advantage of the $200 credit when I see a sale on the HDMR.
