It may not be a total scam. Apparently he was arrested for violating a previous law about magazines over ten rounds but not the current law. The guy violated a law that had been in place since 1994.
I edited my comment about it being a lick on him. Instead, it just wasn't his day if he got pulled over at a random search. Unless he got busted for something else and they found the mags.
Here is the point. Until these laws are eliminated (and in NYC they won't be), it is best to go around the damn place.
