I have a AA AWS 24" with the Shilen upgrade. Looking to put an adjustable gas block on it. But, as i measure either end of the raised part of the barrel where the gas block is attached, the size is not matching any of the manufacturers specified diameters for their gas blocks.
The barrel diameter is .832
the rearmost area visible at the gas block is .978
the forward area visible at the gas block is .906
These gas block diameters do not correlate with gas block manufacturers specs. Anyone know what size I need??
I have the gas block you would need, email me and you can have it for shipping charges, however it is not an adjustable.
I really don't think you need an adjustable, you just need the rifle to be tuned correctly.
The buffer should be the appropriate weight and all other parts in perfect order.
The rifle will run really well, I have several and the only adjustable gas system I have on any weapon is my FAL even that runs with gas at the same setting at all times.
