Safety question for new builds

Brownells has a good video. But some things I have done. Cycle action several times. Test trigger, confirm safety works. Also, cycle action. Hold bolt 1/2-1/4 inch out of battery, confirm trigger does not function. This will protect you if you get a stove pipe and you bolt doesn't go into full battery. I also test with empty mag, confirm bolt lock back. I usually run rather wet to start. Not barrel, but carrier with a good gun oil. Make sure your gas tube looks centered. Have a good time.
