I also tried Quick Load to get some low-end start loads with the cut-down 94gr GMXs and and blew primers, ceased firing after I saw the brass.
A guy sent me an enlarged firing pin to fill the .086 aperture on the DPMS bolt, which helped reduce the incidence of cratering.
Chamber pressure in the .260 Rem is 10,000psi + higher with 10-14gr more slower-burning powder.
Actually, I forgot I did blow a few starting out with a min charge of RL22 in my 6.5x55 SE 1907 M38 Swedish Mauser! Lyman data right out of their latest manual. Had just got the gun and trying to take it easy on it. First 4-5 shots I was piercing every other primer! WTF? So I quit, double checked everything at home, it was all by the book. Dumped another grain of powder in there and never had another problem! I was using a different case and primer than the book called for and that apparently was just enough cause the issue! Since then, Ive never started out with a min charge again!
