Thumbs up to your ideas. When we started to kick God and the Ten Commandments out of our daily lives we started down a slippery slope to where we are today. Prior to the introduction of welfare in the early 50's, a Black married couple were several times less likely to get a divorce than a similar White couple. When I was growing up in deep southern Illinois (Copperhead territory), people looked out for each other. I remember a traveling salesman stopped at our house one day when my Father was not home and he just would not leave. After awhile a neighbor, a very large redneck man in bib overalls, stopped by in the pretense of borrowing some tools. The salesman left post haste. I wonder if the double barreled shotgun hung over the neighbor's arm and a Black and Tan Coon Hound at his side might have been a factor? The original Community Watch!
