Understanding the insanity in the US today

Yeah, that was weird.

I’ve heard all these claims from various groups about what the causal factors are, while none of them seem to look at these maps or statistics that contradict their premises.

The gun grabbers say how well gun control works in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Connecticut, while ignoring CA (high gun control, high violent crime and homicide rates), and all the States with relaxed 2A violations that have very low violent crime rates (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Wyoming, Idaho, Kentucky, Utah).

What stuck out to me though was that many States with less restrictive access to firearms also have high homicide and violent crime rates. What are the differences between those States and ones that also have relaxed restrictions, but very low rates of violence?

The poverty pimps claim poverty, but that can’t be true because Maine, Kentucky, and Wyoming are all well below the National Median Household Income. So if it isn’t poverty, what’s the next variable to look at?

When I lived in North Carolina, I experienced 2 attempted car-jackings that ended very quickly when the perpetrators realized I had a stainless 1911 and big smile on my face. My home was burglarized when I was gone. I also was involved in a store robbery that I stopped. In Virginia (DC area), we had a home intruder in our apartment.

Those counties I lived in are in the darker shades of red on that map, so all my anecdotes with that type of crime coincidentally match up with the map.

Here in Utah, no matter what neighborhood I’ve lived in, we get bombarded with home-made treats for the holidays, then have to keep a list of all the families that left something for us so we can reciprocate. There’s an entirely different sense of community that used to be quite common when I was growing up in several different States and cities, but sadly is not so common anymore.

A lot of it has to do with people not having as many kids and not regularly gathering in church in their local neighborhoods.

For the high crime counties, fathers have been imprisoned and replaced with government welfare, destroying the family units in those places as a matter of policy, while kids look for male leadership in gangs.

Therefore, your right to keep and bear arms must be taken away, for the children. Don’t question it, you hateful person clinging to your guns and religion.
