I just want to make a point. From the article:

Similarly, in Canada, statistics also show that civilian firearms ownership is conducive to good citizenship. Licensed firearms owners rarely threaten public safety in Canada. They are unlikely to be murderers, much less likely than non-firearm owners.
This is true, but it's gun control trap. We need to fight any permit or licensing scheme they propose. They will (and do) make the argument that we need permits and licensing to 'know' that 'the right people' have the guns, all in the name of safety. You have to prove your worthiness prior to exercising your 2nd Amendment right. This is wrong thinking.
It's nice that we can say that permit holders and licensees are law abiding citizens, but we can't hang our right to keep arms on this. The 2A is not just for people who can pass a government litmus test.
