I gave the 118 gr cavity backs a try this year with inconsistent results. One I’m pretty sure the bullet shed some pedals and basically shotgunned a deer internally. The other the bullet punched in and out with minimal damage. My sample size is small, but I’m scared to keep using them given what I’ve seen so far. I want to go lead free, shoot deer to 400 yards so very interested in finding a load I’ve got confidence in.
