To be more clear about this subject, dwell time is separate from bolt velocity..

Proper dwell time is determined by the powder-bullet, port size-location on the barrel..The weight of the buffer has no effect on dwell time..

The buffer weight determines how fast or slow the bolt will try to lock-unlock and cycle..
