Talk me out of 16” Grendel

One thing with all of the 16” Grendels I have built and tested is that they handle really nicely, as long as the port is cut correctly at no more than .076” (assuming no adj gas).

The little AA fluted barrels are pussycats in that regard, as is this Lilja Wasp profile.

The Lilja Wasp build handles very well, nice and light but with a heavier for end for exceptional accuracy.

It’s a shame that I don’t shoot it, but I go on 3yr+ binges of only spending time with one particular barrel length/Grendel.

I started out shooting my 16” AA for a while, then the Lilja 17.6”, and then the 12” suppressed. I still feel like spending more time with the 12” because I’ve only shot it out to 800yds regularly since 2018, and still haven’t hand-loaded for it with some of the other high BC bullets I need to test.

After that, I’m going to be focused on my 10.5” Criterion PDW build (not pictured).
