Springco is usually the go-to for people looking for added spring weight AR-15 action springs.

Blue or Red ?

Red are something to consider if you have suppressed, or 18” MLGS.

For me, it seems to work as a bit of a rate reducer to keep the bolt locked in-battery longer.

They aren’t necessary for 14.5” MLGS, 16” MLGS, or 20” RLGS. You can use Blue on those for slightly more spring tension.

Basically a way to deal with preventing early unlocking in a gas system set-up where the cyclic rate tends to run faster.

The OP won’t need an increased power spring on an 18” ILGS, for example. That will run very smoothly with standard carbine with a 2.9-3.0oz buffer with common ammo weights (100-130gr).
