One option is to use a prepaid Visa or MasterCard instead of a Visa Card that uses your name that can be hacked. If the prepaid card is hacked there is no credit limit so your only out your balance. A friend uses a prepaid Visa for all his online purchases. The purchase would be recorded but not the purchaser which would foil their back door registration.
