MINUTE OF MAN? You really believe that about AKs? My home built AK on a Childers receiver and FN barrel and ALG trigger groups on average 0.9" MOA at 100 yards with Barnaul Steel cased ammo (7.62x39). Now mind you Barnaul makes Match Grade accurate steel cased ammo which is not available anymore thank you Biden. Hornady Black shoots bit better at .75 moa. This stupid notion that an AK couldn't hit the side of a barn while standing inside is very very dangerous. Never underestimate the accuracy of any weapon system. Now mind you that most AKs shoot with wolf ammo 2" to 2.5" MOA at 100 yards. That means at 500 yards they are capable of a 10" group. I bet you I can out shoot you with said AK against your AR15. Don't get me wrong I know ARs are can be very very accurate I have several, but most only are capable of 2" MOA. Its about a shooters capability, training and practice. Minute of man? That belief on a battle field would get you killed real fast.

I’ve been shooting AKs of various types since the late 1980s, high volume fire through military variants since 1995. I’ve used a lot of Romanian, Russian, Yugoslavian, Bulgarian, Chinese, and Finnish variants mostly when talking about actual military rifles that are select-fire, and the normal run of the mill imported civilian guns both into Europe and the US to a lesser extent.

The Finnish Rk62, Rk92, and Rk95 will absolutely out-shoot all of them hands-down, with the Israeli Galils (uses Rk62 receiver design but chambered in 5.56) coming in right near there. The Chinese rifles tend to be more accurate than the Russian or Eastern European rifles, which gives you an idea about the level of “quality” found among them.

The Vz.58 will out-shoot most of the Eastern European AK variants and is in a different set of quality, fit, feel, finish, and functionality.

Maybe I was doing it wrong, but I’ve normally seen roughly 3-7” groups from most AKs and AKM variants at 100yds.
