I have used weapons shield for a while and like it. Lucas makes good products. Go high heat for suppressed or high volume of fire. I only use grease on trigger. In a gas AR, restrict the lube to contact points and you will get less annoying carbon build up. For what it is worth, foreign militaries use motor oil all the time and I would not hesitate to use it if I ran out of weapons lube. Dry lube is decent for moon dust environments. I would only use it on the most exposed areas and use normal lube on internals.
