Confirmed mine about military grade CLP. I thought it dried up a bit too fast when the carbines got pretty hot and also thought it really did a good job on carbon so those two observations of mine are confirmed. The standard CLP went down to -40 F in the test. I have used it in temps down to about five and thought it got a bit thicker but could be me just expecting it. Didn't slow anything down. If that stuff can go to -40 F without freezing, I wonder how cold I can take some 'Cold Weather CLP'?
Maybe not first place in this test but close enough for me seeing as I have a couple gallons of it.
I thought Ballistol sucked as a firearms cleaner and lubricant but when mixed with some water and a little Palmolive dish washer soap makes a really good damp or dry patch lube for muzzleloaders.

From what I have read Cold Weather CLP will run to -65 F, which is way colder than I ever intend to be out target shooting or hunting..I use slip 2000 and CLP in winter with great success.. Even if certain lubes run in cold weather they can behave more like molasses than oil. This is why I'm more concerned with cold weather lube performance than warm weather..With two gallons of CLP I would guess you won't be shopping for gun lube any time soon...
