I started this project in Dec 2019 to build one 6.5G but have have had enough parts to build 5, had 3 completed until just yesterday. I have a buyer for my 18" rifle though in another caliber so stripped the lower end pistol and rifle down and swapped parts around a bit, all legally of course, so now my $1000 pistol is a $1300 one and the $1500 rifle will be $1k and the 18" 6.5 fluted barrel will be sold.

I had two Leupold LRP, 3 Vortex moderate priced scopes, and a couple of others in this time. I picked up a Leupold 1.5-4 30mm circle firedot, 12.4 ounces for my custom 10/22 takedown(that is now a folding 7" carbon wrapped barrel without a single ruger part left on it) and loved it so much I bought one for the 6.5G pistol. Very bright and clear glass, very good daylight red dot, some hash marks I need to get used to using....I wish it was 1-6, 8 or 10 but their 6 and 8 go up hugely in price and I do not like the reticles as well. I wanted to build a pistol and the 6.5G seemed perfect, found a video of a guy with something like .75 MOA at 100 yards, ringing steel at 800 yards on a 1-4 optic so I decided to make the 1.5-4 work as it does not bother me at all to have both eyes open at any power setting.
I have looked at everything made from 1x...to 2x....and will spend whatever it takes to do what I want it to do but will be hard to decide since I love the 1.5-4 so much and it was cheap, got two at $335 each, shipped!

I had to close my 20+ years business last year due to manf issues likely tied to Covid though they did not confirm it so I retired again, 3rd time, fun money is suddenly in much shorter supply so selling toys to build new toys

I agree, my only rifle besides my 22 will be my 6.5G pistol!
I am likely going to sell the expensive one, in part out if needed and keep the $1300 one as it will still be a dang fine gun.
