If you don’t control ownership, then keeping and bearing can be dictated by someone else, which is contrary to natural law.
The right of self-protection is inherent to being alive, not granted or restricted by any other man. This is the dominant thinking from the Founders.
The moment another man inserts himself into how or whether you keep and bear, the road to tyranny is upon you.

I think I could go with this, in other words, if a third party has some ownership interest then they can limit the "keeping" and/or the "bearing", which contradicts the "shall not be infringed" part. We should not expect a self-contradictory amendment.
