you'll likely get as many answers as forum members on bbl length. i'd say 18" but the next responder may not. i like to get the most mv and least muzzle blast so tend to favor longer bbl builds. look at faxon gunner 20". not too heavy. RLGS. good velocity, not too expensive. it won't come close to a Krieger or Brux for accuracy but if you're just hunting to 300 yards or less, it'll do nicely. works well for a lighter weight build, which your daughter will likely appreciate. Faxon also makes the gunner profile in 18" and 16" if i recall correctly. Krieger, Brux, Bartlein, Lilja, all pretty top of the line tubes. not sure if they have a lightweight contour though.
perhaps a better AR wrench than i knows for sure, but i see no reason why you can't use the lower you have already. you'll likely need to pick up some 6.5 Grendel specific magazines to go with the build. check your state big game regs for magazine capacity restrictions for big game hunting. you might be limited to 4 of 5. i picked up some 4rd E-landers that work well. they're as long as the 10 rounders so stick out the bottom of the mag well just the same so you can get your hand on them.
