I recall Alexander saying that AA inspected every barrel for the quality level he demanded when the Grendel first hit the market and that he rejected a lot more than he accepted so most likely your Shaw is better than most Shaws.
We don't know what your requirements are so could well be the barrel works out just fine for you.
