FWIW, I just bought a Grendel BCG from MidwayUSA last week. Aero Precision. Nitrided. I admit that I don't know for sure from what factory Aero procures their carriers, but I assume they're not "junk".
As it happens, it did not even need to be a Grendel bolt that came with. I am going to use one of BFT's Monster bolts for the build in mind. And so now I have a spare Grendel Type II bolt, which is nice.
