Thanks for the replies guys. Those are all great options. I do like the Midwest Industries rails. It looks like theyre out of stock on the manufacturers site right now. Those STNGR rails are pretty sweet, and I appreciate the link to the weights and the photo. I do like Aero products and their little innovations like unobtrusive anti-rotation tabs on their handguards. I have been looking at and really considering ALG handguards. I like their barrel nut/attachment system. I like that Precision Firearms offers an 18 model, and I think most of these recommendations involve a non-timed barrel nut. I think Im going to pick out the models I like from each of the brand recommendations and make a list with length, weight and material strength and see who comes out on top. Thanks guys!
