sundowner, there are about 6 main trails that come onto this patch of high ground. That is one of them, some years there are scrapes close to where the deer on right is. 4 years ago about 20 yards behind the smaller deer I saw something dark slowly moving thru the scrub..thinking it was some small hogs I got ready for the sounder to arrive..No, It was a monster gator at least 12 ft long moving from the Cypress swamp to the large wet lands pond to the south.
