well, i know my limitations. and likely i'll never get a chance to shoot a hog anyway. From DNS's vid's, it appears a hog brain may be 3" in diameter roughly? the heart lung region is what? 9" in diameter on a hog? of course bigger caliber only lets the blood out faster if you can shoot it accurately.
i can understand DNS' desire to drop them without them running 100 yards first, and he is a mighty fine shot. since i'm not so sure i could hit a 3" circle, from a field rest, out to some of the ranges that DNS has, i think i'd go for the heart/lung shot if i was shooting a hog. of course that means i'd have to track it to recover it.
on the other hand, if the distances were close enough, for me, to guarantee that i could brain the hog, then for sure CNS would be the way to go.
man, can't wait to get out to the range..... sigh....
