Ya know, I have been known to screen my black powder to get the "fines" out before an important match, but I just can't see where poking around in a scale pan of smokeless powder, looking for a larger or smaller granule, and then having some larger or smaller granules sorted out and handy to replace them with can make much, if any, difference downrange. Kind of a lot of effort to be lost in the wind. Especially since that level of precision would have to be carried over to each component of each cartridge to justify the effort. There are practical limits to consistency when handloading. Nothing wrong with a good scale, but sorting granules would make me crazy(er).
