Popeye, that was kind of my thinking, I was also thinking if you had cases that had a tic more run out then u like it may help them straighten them upon firing in the rifle, I'm still kind of new to reloading AR rifles, as a matter of fact my 6.5Grrr is the first AR I have ever reloaded for! I've been reloading bolt guns and pistols for over 30yrs, I anneal my brass for my bolt guns every few firings, I use Lapua brass mainly, I have been using Hornady cases for the AR, LR1955 I agree with everything ur saying, I'm going to anneal these cases for their first firing, but I'm going to seek out all the cases with the most runout and start with them to see if annealing helps to reduce the runout, I have not opened these cases to even look at them but I know from experience part of my culling process is runout! anything in the 3k range gets tossed to the side, this where this question for me has come to where it is for reloading for a semiauto, IMO and I maybe wrong and annealing my not have any effect on what I'm trying to accomplish? But I think annealing would help? what say u!
