Best scope for bolt Howa

i'm running a Leupold 3-9x40 VX-R patrol. works fine. like others have suggested, though, match the scope to what you envision. if super light weight and moderate range, the Leupold FX-II 4X at 9 oz (if i recall) is hard to beat for light weight. if long range varmints, probably a scope going up to 12x or higher. if long range match shooting, use a MOA rail (20, 30, 40) and a good target scope (adjustable parallax, repeatable elevation and windage adjustments, etc.). another option is 2 scopes depending upon objectives if one scope won't match your needs. and check through used scopes too. Leupold has a forever warranty kind of thing. call them, they'll check it out and re-furbish it if needed. many many choices. have fun.
