Price of mop handle and a 4 pound hammer, put it in a clamshell and drive it out with about 4 good hits.

Not that hard.

I cut a piece of thick leather off a belt to protect the barrel.Then I hit it out with a large punch I made from an old Proto half-inch breaker bar from my mechanic days. It works without destroying anything .But,I like your way much better ,thank you. I have a worn out broom I can use.
