I have been running mine through a .356 sizing die and they come out at .356. Same with the cast lead .358 bullets I ran through mine. Everything comes out at .356". Im not saying that issues couldnt come up, but that can happen with anything. Keep in mind that a .357 Magnum stuffs a .357 diameter bullet down a barrel with a .355 groove diameter and a .346 bore diameter. Your mileage may vary though. I have been okay so far.
I can speculate on the decision to go with .355 when a .357 is claimed, but it is speculation. .355 would actually be a violation in a couple states that have a clear minimum of .357" projectile. My understanding is that in some states Winchester got an exemption and in others it was allowed as long as the box stated it was a .357 diameter. Michigan just has a minimum of .35 caliber, so anything .350" and up is good to go diameter wise.
The option of a .358 Legend seems to be gaining traction. I hope that more than just PTG will offer reamers for this since I feel it would be the better way to go than the current .355. At least then I could shoot cast bullets without having to resize them first. I am limited to about .3565" for bullet diameter.
