A recent purchase from an on-line listing.

The barrel diameter seems to be 11/16" (more than 5/8" and less than 3/4"), and looks like this:

...not a good picture, but very fine threads, and no cut for the threads.
This is the AAC drawing for a 3/4x24 mount, it looks like it might measure 11/16". I also find 11/16" mounts.

Is there an expert around who sees this and knows what it is? I hate to start ordering thread protectors until I find one that fits.
