Looking at the pics, it might eject them if it throws them up some.

I took another look at the photos in the article. In this one, you can see the top of the stock rail is cut away slightly at the ejection port.

I think it's probably safe to conclude that this "notch" provides sufficient clearance for case ejection to occur when the stock is retracted.



FWIW, there is a good view of the ejection pattern of the full-size APC9 in this video. I suspect the APC9K SCW ejects in a similar fashion.
