Thanks for the link Rebby, and your insights, this was being used for hunting, I believe it was a combo of things, wrong lube and amount, not broken in and polished, tight new firearm, cold conditions.
The scenario charging the weapon in the dark at tree stand without alerting everything in the county. Need to unload and load going in and out of the tree stand. Normally I can lower the bcg down slowly and tap in to battery with forward assist. Did not work with the original setup in cold, hopefully it's sorted out now.
